Ten Thousand Villages is bringing a new product to Bluffton, which we think will delight crafters and collectors alike: beads! We are sourcing our Fair Trade beads from a company called The Bead Chest. They get most of their Ghana beads from several family run workshops. The owner of the company has had an established relationship with the people who make these beads for over fifteen years. One of them is a woman who built the business with her family and they employ local people and family members and manage their businesses independently as a cottage industry.
